Tiers backed by real Shopify objects
Publishing a tier creates its product, variant, monthly and annual selling plans and its automatic discount. Nothing is faked in a side table.
Paid memberships for Shopify
Clubify lets you sell named membership tiers — Silver, Gold, Platinum, whatever you call them — as real Shopify subscriptions. Members are tagged, discounted at checkout automatically, and shown their tier in their customer account, on the storefront and on the thank-you page.
Clubify is not on the Shopify App Store yet. The link goes to XCO's publisher page, where the rest of the fleet is listed.
The problem
The selling part takes an afternoon. Keeping every surface of the store in agreement about who is a member is the part that never ends.
A discount code emailed to members, and shared outside the group by lunchtime
The member discount is an automatic Shopify discount applied by a Function at checkout — there is no code to forward
Tagging customers by hand every time somebody joins, upgrades or lapses
Every subscription webhook writes the tag, the tier and the status for you, and records what changed
The storefront, the checkout and the customer account each guessing at membership state
One set of customer metafields, written once and read by every extension — no back-channel call to the app
Member-only products that anyone with the URL can still add to cart
Access rules lock products, collections, pages, blogs or just the add-to-cart button behind an active tier
What it does
Clubify builds the Shopify objects a membership needs, then keeps them in step with what the customer is actually paying for.
Publishing a tier creates its product, variant, monthly and annual selling plans and its automatic discount. Nothing is faked in a side table.
Members pay through Shopify subscription contracts on the tier's own monthly or annual selling plan. Clubify never handles the card.
A Shopify Function applies the tier's percent-off at checkout for tagged members. No discount codes to distribute or revoke.
Restrict product pages, collections, blogs, pages or the add-to-cart button — by URL path, or by product tag, vendor, type or collection.
Members see their tier, status, renewal date and benefits on their Shopify customer account page, plus a link from the thank-you page.
See every member and their status, grant a membership by hand for a comp or a partner, and cancel one when you need to.
The membership widget is a theme app extension. Layout, colours, type and button style are set in the admin, not in your theme code.
Activation, renewal, payment failure, cancellation and expiry emails, each with its own subject and body, its own on/off switch and a live preview.
How it works
Name it, set a monthly price and an optional annual one, and pick the benefits — a discount percentage, early access, priority shipping, VIP support, free returns.
Clubify creates the Shopify product, the selling plans and the automatic discount. If Shopify rejects something the tier is marked broken and tells you why, rather than half-existing.
Shopify creates the subscription contract. The webhook tags the customer, writes their tier, status and renewal date to customer metafields, and logs the event.
The Function discounts their checkout, the checkout banner shows their perks, the account page shows their renewal date, and each renewal, failed payment or cancellation updates all of it.
Use cases
A flat percentage off every order for members, charged monthly, applied at checkout without a code.
New products stay locked to members for the first day — the add-to-cart button simply is not there for anyone else.
A tier for trade customers with its own discount and its own tag, so segments and reports separate cleanly.
Member-only pages and blogs, gated by tier, with a portal in the customer account showing what the membership includes.
Pricing
Every plan has the whole feature set. What changes is how many members the shop can hold. The limit is only ever enforced when you enrol somebody by hand, so a customer subscribing through your storefront is never turned away — but they do count towards the number.

FAQ
Not yet — Clubify does not have a public App Store listing at the moment. The install links on this page go to XCO's publisher page, where our other Shopify apps are listed.
Through Shopify. Publishing a tier creates a Shopify product with monthly and annual selling plans, and a customer who joins gets a real Shopify subscription contract. Clubify does not take payments itself and never sees a card.
A Shopify Function runs at checkout and applies the tier's percentage to a tagged member's cart. Because it is a Function and not a discount code, there is nothing for a member to paste and nothing to leak to someone who is not one.
The subscription webhook updates the membership, rewrites the customer's metafields and appends the change to an audit history. The tag comes off, the discount stops applying and the account page shows the new status.
The membership card is a theme app extension — you add the block where you want it and remove it when you do not. Nothing is written into your theme's Liquid, and the customer account page and checkout banner are Shopify extensions, not injected scripts.
It counts every membership on the shop, however it was created — a storefront subscription and a comp you granted from the admin both count. It is only ever enforced on a manual grant: a customer subscribing through your storefront is never blocked, and existing members keep working if you move to a smaller plan. Once you are at the number, the admin refuses new hand-granted memberships until you upgrade.
Yes. Enrol them from the members page, pick a tier and a number of months, and they get the tag, the metafields and the perks without a subscription contract. Enrolling this way is the one action the plan's member limit blocks, and the count it checks includes everyone who subscribed through your storefront.
Paid tiers, automatic member pricing, and one source of truth for who is a member. Clubify has no App Store listing yet — the button opens XCO's publisher page, where the rest of the fleet is listed.
